The Facts
You are a created being, you did not evolve, nor are you here by chance. The Word of God tells us that we were all created in God’s image (Genesis 1:26). What that means is like God you have the ability to think, feel, and reason. God made you for a relationship with Him, He desires for us to worship Him, know Him and experience His goodness and grace. But the truth of the matter is that we are are by nature and by deed, sinners.  The Word of God also declares this to be true. Which leads us to the bad news.

The Bad News
The Bible tells us at the time of creation God said about all that he had made, “It is very good.” (Genesis 1:31) that included mankind, we were without sin and righteous in God’s sight. But mankind was tempted by the Devil, and ate of the tree that God had previously forbid, (Genesis 3). It was that disobedience (sin) that changed everything. The Bible says that our sin separates us from God, “The wages of sin is death,” Romans 3:23. That death is not just a physical death, but a spiritual one. Spiritual death is an eternal separation from the God who loves you, in a place the Bible calls hell, or the lake of fire. The Bible describes it as a place of torment, outer darkness, a place of weeping and gnashing of teeth. The bad news is that we all deserve the punishment of hell, “There is none righteous, not even one.” (Romans 3:10). You see, we are all sinners, and are standing in line with God’s judgment, but there is good news.

The Good News
If God chose to leave us as sinners and punish us as such, He would be justified. But the, “Good News” is that God has made a way for us to be forgiven of our sins and spend our eternity in heaven, where God dwells and reigns on high. The Bible says in John 3:16, “God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” God’s Son is Jesus the Christ, and He died for your sins and for mine, he paid that penalty and took our punishment on Himself. Jesus was buried in a tomb for three days, but by the supernatural power of God, he rose from the dead and went back to the Father in heaven where he now sits at His right hand. The Word of God declares, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9. To be saved means to be saved from our sin, and the punishment of hell. Jesus said that He did not come to condemn the world but through Him the world might be saved. Crosslands wants you to known That God loves you and sent His son to die for you. He wants to fill the emptiness in your heart. All we must do is trust in Jesus whole heartedly, confess your sin, repent, and ask Him to be the Lord of your life.
